Let's Come Together During Hate Crime Awareness Week

Hello Resident

Everyone deserves to feel safe, welcome and respected in their community. That's why the Royal Borough of Greenwich, together with partners including Neighbourhood Watch, is inviting you to join them during Hate Crime Awareness Week.

Hate Crime Awareness Week is all about raising awareness, encouraging people to stand against hate, and helping everyone understand how we can create kinder, safer and more inclusive neighbourhoods.

A hate crime is any crime that is motivated by hostility or prejudice towards someone's race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity. Sadly, many incidents go unreported, often because people aren't sure what hate crime is or where to turn for support. By talking openly about it and making support more visible, we can all help make a difference.

Throughout the week, they will be out and about across Greenwich, and they would love you to pop along and say hello. Whether you're curious to learn more, want to meet the local organisations working to keep our communities safe, or simply want to show your support, you'll receive a warm welcome.

Come and chat with representatives from the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Neighbourhood Watch and other partner organisations. You'll be able to find out how we're all working together to tackle hate crime, discover the support available for anyone affected, and learn simple ways you can help make your neighbourhood an even more welcoming place for everyone.

Come and visit one of the community events:

Together, we can help ensure the Royal Borough of Greenwich remains a place where everyone feels they belong.

We hope to see you there!

Best wishes
